The first draft of our main task, Utopia. Used primarily to show our target audience (who our peers happen to fit the role of) like that of a focus group for analysis and advice on how to make it more appealing to them.

Call-sheet
Rather than make a call-sheet, I and Connor agreed it would be much more suitable and convenient to use a facebook group page that we both became members of, both being allowed to post on it to immediately notify each other of plans, cancellations and simply as a reminder of when and where we would need to be. We also posted progress we made on the group so we could let one another know how our individual tasks were coming along. For the sake of both myself and friends, I have censored any personal information that could be found on the image.

Utopia Animatic
The animatic of our groups main task, Utopia. A 1984 inspired story of a young man living in an autocratic world, who has been having dreams of freedom. Created before we'd had a chance to film the dream sequence, which required we travel a moderate distance from the main set to film.

TITLES
0:00
– 0:20
An animated logo of the movies
distributor, which in this case is Universal studios. The very familiar and
iconic jingle playing along side it.
0:20
– 0:32
Another animated logo, this time of
the production company (Working Title). There is also a voice in the background
to help set up the scene, letting me know that something is being signed.
0:32
– 0:35
Universal Studio presents is shown,
letting me know who made the title. The use of black and white quickly draws my
eyes to the writing, as nothing else is on screen, essentially making sure I
read it. It also only stays on screen for a few seconds to make sure it doesn’t
outstay its welcome. Something that is done with most titles from this point.
0:46
– 0:48
Another title, this time to let me
know about the association with StudioCanal, once again using the black and
white and only staying on screen long enough for me to read the writing that I
am quickly drawn to (as it’s the only thing on screen).
0:59 – 1:01
Once again using the black and white
method mentioned previously, another title letting me know that Working Title
produced the movie.
1:41
– 1:45
Whilst it keeps the black and white
theme, it is not the only thing on the screen this time, though due to the
movement of the slide effect used I am quickly drawn to the title once again.
This new sliding transition allows for a nice blend with the scene and the
titles. Almost like an animated film reel
(1:47
– 1:48) – 1:53
The title of the movie slides and
fades in. This draws attention to the title, which is also prominently at the
bottom centre of the screen. The black/white technique used earlier quickly
draws attention to it.
1:53
– 1:57
A credit for the lead actor, Ryan
Reynolds (pictured). Using the previously mentioned techniques.
1:57
– 2:00
A credit for the lead actress, Isla Fisher, using the same techniques as previous credits.

Budget
The budget for our film is very low thanks to the theme we're using, we don't need very much and what we do need we already have, the only money spent was on public transportation to get us to a particular place for filming. Costing a total of £3.10 each.
